Last Thursday, OASES held it’s first volunteer social of the semester!
With the theme of “Office Party,” the social started off with some delicious costco pizza and drinks. After everyone’s stomaches were satisfied, it was time to start the games! volunteers were divided into groups based on their tutoring day for some friendly competition. Led by their Coord X, groups competed against each other in a number of “office games” to earn points towards the grand prize – pieing a coordinator. Some of these games consisted of: T-T-T-TIE! (tie tying contest), Fresh Like WHAT? (question game), Balloon BOOM (balloon popping game), and more!
After 1.5 hours of fun and games, the points were tallied up and the winners were announced. Thursday came in first place, receiving the privilege of pieing two Thursday coordinators. Coming up in second and third were Monday and Wednesday, each receiving the privilege to pie one coordinator from their day. Coordinators are very well-known for their showing their day pride and our brave representatives were great sports as they allowed their tutors to pie them.

We hope all the volunteers had a lot of fun at the social! If you weren’t able to join in the fun, don’t worry! This is only our first social event of the semester! There will be more fun events to come in the future! Look out for them in your weekly emails or announcements!
