Oakland City Councilmembers Pat Kernighan & Jean Quan, & Principal Yee of Lincoln Elementary School publicly acknowledged the importance of OASES in helping Lincoln Elementary School receive the National Title I Distinguished School Award for 2006. Lincoln was one of only two schools in California to receive this award.
